Family fun at one of Sydney’s premier cultural celebrations
One of Sydney’s premier cultural celebrations, the Cabramatta Moon Festival is back again in 2014. Taking place in Sunday 23 September from 11am to 8pm, the event draws more than 90,000 people from all over Sydney who take part in this ancient Moon Festival tradition.
But there’s a whole lot more going on throughout the day, with a jam-packed program of events and activities for young and old. Perhaps the highlights of the day are the moon cake eating competition, the pho noodle eating competition and the prawn peeling competition. These entertaining spectacles are always crowd favourites, and this year you will also have the chance to witness the Papa Roti Bun eating competition from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
